Job summary

Langford Village Community Primary School seeks an enthusiastic early years class teacher to deliver high-quality EYFS provision in a two-form entry setting. The role focuses on structured play-based learning, language development and progression, with responsibilities to support phase leadership if applicable.

You will work with pupils, families and colleagues in a warm, inclusive environment, maintaining high expectations and driving continuous improvement across the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS.
• Experience in primary education (high-quality ECTs also considered).
• Deep understanding of the EYFS and what high-quality provision looks like.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reflective and organised, able to work proactively, flexibly and collaboratively.
• Strong commitment to raising standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality EYFS provision in the early years class.
• Create enhanced continuous provision that sparks curiosity, independence and play-based learning.
• Plan experiences that combine skilful adult interaction, language development, challenge and progression.
• Identify children's starting points and use this to meet the needs of all learners.
• Build children's love of learning, confidence, resilience and independence.
• Create an engaging, inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.
• Work with pupils, families and colleagues, communicating clearly and warmly.
• Model good practice and support and inspire colleagues.
• Shape the curriculum and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead a phase, if Phase Leader responsibility is agreed.
• Make a broader contribution to the school.
