Job summary

Education Matters Group is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Class Teacher to support a primary school in Leatherhead on a long-term placement.

You will hold QTS, have EYFS experience, confidently deliver phonics and early mathematics, and will build strong relationships with families and the school team.

The role focuses on high-quality teaching, play-based learning, and timely observation records to track progress.

Qualifications

• QTS is required with experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

• Demonstrates understanding of early childhood development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has previous classroom experience within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Demonstrates a sound understanding of early childhood development.
• Is confident delivering phonics and early mathematics activities.
• Has a patient, adaptable and approachable teaching style.
• Holds an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one.
