Job summary

Education Matters Group is seeking a confident Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join a Leatherhead primary school on a long-term supply basis. You will deliver stimulating lessons, foster independent thinking and support pupils to reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has experience teaching Years 3–6, and can adapt to differing abilities while applying effective assessment strategies. You will work closely with parents and staff to promote pupil success and maintain a positive

Qualifications

Are you a creative and driven Primary Teacher who enjoys challenging young minds and helping pupils achieve their full potential? An opportunity has become available for a Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join a primary school in the Leatherhead area on a long-term supply basis. We are seeking a confident and adaptable teacher who can deliver stimulating lessons, encourage independent thinking and help pupils build the knowledge and skills needed for the next stage of their education.

The Role

• Teach engaging and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity and independent learning.
• Assess children's progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Adapt learning activities to accommodate different abilities and additional educational needs.
• Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere with clear behaviour expectations.
• Work closely with parents, support staff and the wider school team to promote pupil success.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching Years 3, 4, 5 or 6 within a UK primary school.
• Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment methods.
• Is confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining pupil engagement.
• Has strong communication skills and a flexible, professional approach.
• Holds an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one.
