Job summary

InHealth is recruiting a Trainee Health Screener to join our Dudley/Wolverhampton clinics. You will be trained on the job and progress towards a Health Screener Diploma, with opportunities to advance into specialist diabetic eye screening roles.

The role covers travel to our screening clinics in the Dudley/Wolverhampton area and to our Tyseley Programme Office. A caring nature and good people skills are essential as you support patients through the screening process.

Qualifications

• Compassionate individuals who are empathetic towards patients.
• Willing to travel to screening services in the Dudley/Wolverhampton area.
• Able to take detailed, up-close eye photos and remain composed.
• Flexible with evenings/weekends and committed to completing Health Screener Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients feel welcome and comfortable during screening.
• Undertake the screening checklist to ensure a safe environment.
• Maintain the camera and equipment for high-quality images.
• Safely administer eye drops and capture photographs with correct field of view.
• Identify patients needing urgent onward referral at the time of screening.
• Maintain stock of consumables to run the clinic.
