Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting an Extrusion Operator in Swansea to join the production team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. You will operate and monitor extrusion machinery, ensuring production targets are reached safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or machine operating experience, a good mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery or in a manufacturing environment.
• Good mechanical aptitude for basic machine issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production area.
• Flexible with 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion equipment in line with production schedules and procedures.
• Work towards safety, quality, productivity and waste reduction targets.
• Carry out routine quality checks and ensure specifications are met.
• Complete production documentation and reports accurately.
• Monitor machine performance and identify faults or process issues.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and escalate maintenance when required.
• Maintain housekeeping and hygiene in the production area.
• Support continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
