Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking an Extra Care Support Worker for Hawthorn Court in Keynsham. The role is 21.87 hours per week with a rota including mornings and evenings (07:30-14:00 and 14:30-21:30).

You will work every other weekend with some bank holidays, for which enhancements are paid. Full training is provided; care experience is preferred but not essential, as the council supports career development in a thriving, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to delivering quality care and full training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a rota system including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
• Promote tenant independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering high standards of care.
• Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of care and support provided to tenants.
• Provide support to access third party and NHS services.
• Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed.
• Promote lifestyle choices to help tenants retain independence.
