Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is recruiting an Extra Care Support Worker for Hawthorn Court in Keynsham. The role is 17.5 hours per week with a rota including late shifts (16:30-21:30 or 17:00-22:00) and every other weekend, with enhancements for bank holidays. Full training is provided; prior care experience is beneficial but not essential.

A 5% welcome payment applies after probation. DBS checks and a supportive environment are part of our commitment to safeguarding and staff

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
• Promote tenant's independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care.
• Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants.
• Providing support to access third party and NHS services.
• Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed.
• Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives.
