Sunderland Home Care Associates 20/20 Ltd is hiring an Extra Care Support Worker for Cherry Tree Gardens Extra Care Scheme in Houghton le Spring. The role supports service users with personal care, mobility, meals, and daily activities, ensuring dignity and privacy at all times.

The position is full-time and permanent, with a pay of £13.45 per hour. A comprehensive induction is provided, and DBS checks are part of our safer recruitment process.

Qualifications

• DBS check and reference checks are required as part of safer recruitment.
• No prior experience required; induction is provided.

Responsabilités

• Uphold rights and dignity of clients and respect privacy.
• Encourage independence and support service user wishes.
• Look after welfare and personal care of service users.
• Assist with mobility, eating, washing/bathing and dressing.
• Prepare meals and drinks and supervise medication prompts.
• Complete records as requested by management.
• Attend required training courses.

The Role:

• Uphold the rights and dignity of all clients and respect their privacy and confidentiality
• Encourage independence and support the wishes of the service users
• Look after the welfare and personal care of service users assigned to you
• Assist with mobility, eating, washing/bathing and dressing of service users in a sensitive manner and prepare meals and drinks
• Supervise the prompting/administration of prescribed medication and perform any other duties to ensure the comfort of the service users
• Accurately complete all records as requested by line management
• Attend any training courses that are required
