Job summary

Santander seeks an External Financial Reporting Senior Finance Professional in Milton Keynes to join the CAO External Financial Reporting Team. The role focuses on delivering UK annual and quarterly reporting outputs with accuracy and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

You will work with IFRS knowledge, advance data analysis, and reporting platforms while contributing to continuous improvement in financial reporting processes. This is a permanent, site‑based hybrid role with UK offices.

Qualifications

• Experience of financial services (Preferred)
• Experience of the UK public company reporting environment (Preferred)
• Part-qualified is essential (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) (Required)

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the production of significant parts of the UK Annual Reports, Half-Yearly Financial Reports and quarterly financial reporting outputs.
• Inputting and analysing data used to prepare the statutory documents where necessary, investigating variances and taking appropriate corrective action.
• Ensuring the accuracy of the electronic linkages, mappings and other elements of the reporting platform used to prepare the statutory documents.
• Reviewing eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) updates in Wdesk.
• Working with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the processes in relation to the Annual Reports, Half-Yearly Financial Reports and other documents.
• Gaining an understanding of IFRS in order to assist the team with basic queries.
