JSS in Milton Keynes is seeking a qualified Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of month-end and statutory reporting within a growing business. The role offers hybrid working and influence across the finance function.

You will work with senior stakeholders, support external audits, and drive improvements to control environments while maintaining accurate reporting and robust financial analysis.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience.
• Excellent understanding of month-end, statutory reporting and financial controls.
• Confident working with auditors and senior stakeholders.
• Strong Excel and financial systems experience.
• Commercially aware with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key areas of the month-end and year-end reporting process
• Prepare and review financial accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and journals
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and manage elements of the external audit
• Maintain and develop a strong financial control environment
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial analysis
• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, controls and reporting
• Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
• Support and provide guidance to more junior members of the finance team
