As we continue to scale, we’re seeking a dynamic External Affairs Specialist to help shape Freetrade’s voice in public affairs, policy, and media discussions.

You will...

• Establish Freetrade's voice in key policy and regulatory discussions that affect retail investors.
• Develop and execute a policy strategy in collaboration with the Director of External Affairs.
• Identify opportunities to influence policy and regulatory matters.
• Engage with stakeholders in government, industry bodies, and media to communicate Freetrade’s position effectively.
• Prepare our executive team and other senior leaders for meetings to drive our priorities forward.
• Monitor policy developments and proactively shape Freetrade’s response.
• Craft clear, concise, and compelling messaging to influence public discourse on retail investing.

You have...

• A strong existing network of contacts within government, regulatory bodies, and media, with a proactive approach to expanding these relationships.
• Deep understanding of the UK policy landscape and key issues impacting individual investors.
• Knowledge of the investment platform and retail investment industry.
• Experience in public affairs, policy, or regulatory engagement, ideally within financial services or fintech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy topics into clear, impactful messaging.
• Ability to navigate fast-paced environments, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
