Job description

The role is responsible for driving strategic stakeholder engagement, public policy advocacy, and regulatory compliance to support the growth and sustainability of the LPG business in Hong Kong. The incumbent will build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, industry partners, and internal teams to influence policy and regulatory environments favorably. This role will safeguard the company's reputation, manage crisis situations, and lead outreach programs to enhance corporate visibility and public trust. Additionally, the role involves identifying new business opportunities, advising on strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements to support long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities

  1. Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy
  2. Relationship Building: Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, industry associations, and external partners to support LPG business growth.
  3. Policy Advocacy: Monitor, analyze, and influence legislative and regulatory developments affecting the LPG sector in Hong Kong. Advocate for favorable policies aligned with corporate objectives.
  1. Regulatory Affairs & Compliance
  2. Regulatory Liaison: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards by coordinating with regulatory bodies and industry groups. Address regulatory challenges and engage constructively with authorities.
  3. Policy Reporting: Provide timely updates and insights on policy trends and regulatory changes to inform business decisions.

  2. Reputation Management: Safeguard and enhance the company's public image and business interests.
  3. Crisis Response: Support crisis management efforts, including stakeholder and media relations, to protect and restore corporate reputation.

  2. Collaboration: Work with stakeholders and leadership on initiatives to drive business development and expand LPG usage.
  3. Advisory Role: Advise business units on risks and opportunities, making recommendations to support long-term objectives.

  2. Stakeholder Programs: Design and implement engagement programs for government officials, legislators, and industry associations.
  3. Liaison Management: Develop and execute plans to address stakeholder inquiries and promote understanding of the company's LPG business.
  4. Community Outreach: Lead publicity and community initiatives to enhance corporate visibility and public trust.

  2. Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  3. Customer Value Proposition: Support the development and improvement of the LPG customer value proposition, ensuring regulatory and market alignment.
  4. Project Leadership: Lead or participate in projects supporting the company's strategic direction.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in public administration, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in accounting, reporting, controlling, and procurement.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in government, public sector, external relations, corporate communications, or journalism.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Strong understanding of government policy and current affairs, particularly in energy and environmental sectors.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, multitask, and perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
