Job summary

Mission 4 Recruitment in Stevenage is assisting a distribution business to recruit a Warehouse Operative - Export. You will own the export process from order review to despatch, ensuring shipments are accurate, documented and compliant, with complete records kept up to date.

This role suits hands-on, detail-minded individuals with export or freight forwarding experience, strong UK export knowledge, and the ability to work calmly under changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in export, international shipping or customs.
• Strong UK export knowledge: Incoterms, HS codes, EORI, country rules.
• Familiar with export controls, licensing and dangerous goods.
• Excellent attention to detail and calm under changing priorities.
• Clear communication with customers, couriers and internal teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare export paperwork: invoices, packing lists, origin docs.
• Check orders, Incoterms, HS codes, and EORI before release.
• Book shipments with couriers and forwarders, create labels.
• Pack goods for export ensuring traceability and safety.
• Spot compliance risks and licensing checks.
• Resolve customs queries and documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in systems.
