Job summary

Catering in Stevenage is seeking a Senior Material Controller – Export to own the export process from order review to despatch. You will ensure shipments are accurate, properly documented and moved on time, maintaining records and resolving issues with customers and internal teams.

The role requires experience in export, knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes and origin documentation, plus strong attention to detail and communication skills in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Proven export, international shipping or customs experience.
• Strong UK export knowledge including paperwork, Incoterms and HS codes.
• Clear communication with customers, couriers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate export paperwork and certificates.
• Check orders and compliance before release.
• Book shipments and produce labels/instructions.
• Pack and prepare goods for export with care and compliance.
• Spot compliance risks and seek approvals promptly.
• Resolve customs queries and document issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in internal systems.
