Job summary

Catering in Stevenage is seeking a Material Controller – Export to own the export process from order review to despatch. You will ensure shipments are accurate, properly documented and ready to move on time, while keeping records complete and issues moving quickly to resolution.

We value candidates with proven export or customs experience, strong UK export knowledge and excellent communication with customers and internal teams. This permanent role starts ASAP with progression and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven export, international shipping or customs experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK export paperwork, Incoterms and HS codes.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure.
• Clear communication with customers, couriers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare export paperwork and destination documents.
• Check orders, Incoterms, HS codes, origin, values and EORI before release.
• Book shipments with couriers and freight forwarders; produce labels and instructions.
• Pack and prepare goods for export while preserving quality and traceability.
• Spot and address compliance risks, including licenses and sanctions checks.
• Resolve customs queries and documentation issues with customers and partners.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in internal systems.
