Planet Recruitment is seeking an Export Shipping Coordinator in Didcot to manage shipping documentation, invoicing and compliance for outbound shipments. Responsibilities

• Create shipping documentation, including Invoices and Packing Lists.
• Book collections with freight forwarders and couriers.
• Prepare documents for submission to chamber of commerce (Origin certificates).
• Handle Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with regulations.
• Investigate and resolve delivery issues with customers.
• Support the Logistics Team to meet customer required dates.
• Provide import instructions to logistics providers for returns.
• Ensure transportation standards and legal compliances for all shipments.
• Invoice orders in NAV and issue documentation to customers.
• Provide holiday/sickness cover within the team.

Position: Export Shipping Coordinator

Location: Didcot

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create shipping documentation, including Invoices and Packing Lists.
• Issue documentation to customers and logistics providers for outbound shipments.
• Book collections with freight forwarders and couriers.
• Prepare documents for submission to the chamber of commerce - Certificate of Origin, EUR1, etc.
• Handle Dangerous Goods shipments, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
• Investigate and resolve delivery issues reported by customers or the Customer Relationship Team.
• Support the Logistics Team to meet customer-required dates.
• Escalate sales order errors to the Customer Relationship Team that may prevent shipment.
• Assist with booking in Sales Return Order processes.
• Provide import instructions to logistics providers for sales returns and service items.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover within the team.
• Ensure transportation standards and legal compliances are adhered to for all shipments.
• Advise other departments of shipping costs, weights, and dimensions.
• Follow country-specific shipping procedures and compliances.
• Invoice orders in NAV at the correct point - Incoterm specific.
• Assist the Shipping Team Leader with reports and meeting departmental targets.
• Carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the manager.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Experience in logistics or a related field.
• Proficiency in creating and managing shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and logistics providers.
• Ability to investigate and resolve issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with NAV and Incoterm-specific invoicing.
• Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to provide cover for team members as needed.
