We offer a supportive and professional working environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills, broaden their experience, and build long‑term careers. At Terasaki, our technology contributes to safer and more resilient electrical systems used by thousands of people every day. We value our people and recognise the importance of work‑life balance, supporting flexible working arrangements where possible to help you achieve your personal and professional goals. Other benefits we offer include:
As Export Shipping Co‑ordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products reach customers around the world safely, efficiently and on time. You’ll manage the movement of our products by air, road and sea, ensuring shipments meet customer, Customs and country‑specific requirements while balancing service, cost and timescales. Your work will be central to delivering a reliable service for our customers and maintaining Terasaki’s reputation for dependable delivery.
Based on‑site in Clydebank, Glasgow, this is a hands‑on and fast‑paced role where you’ll work closely with customers, carriers, internal teams and other stakeholders. You’ll be trusted to make practical decisions, manage competing priorities and respond quickly when challenges arise, with the opportunity to make a real difference to how efficiently and effectively we deliver for our customers.
Your core working hours will be Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 12:30, with flexitime being part of our working hours.
Working at Terasaki is an opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic manufacturing environment while being supported to develop professionally.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll take ownership, solve problems and help improve how we manage export shipping. This role is best suited to a mid‑senior level professional with managing export shipping and international freight experience.
In your first 12 months, you’ll build a strong understanding of our business, customers, products and export shipping processes. During your first few weeks, you’ll receive training on our internal processes, export and Customs requirements, and the systems we use, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). You’ll also build relationships with colleagues across the business and with key external partners, giving you the knowledge and confidence to manage shipments effectively.
As you grow into the role, you’ll take increasing ownership of our export shipping activity. You’ll confidently manage shipments from order through to delivery, making sound decisions around shipping methods and freight forwarders, keeping customers and colleagues informed, and resolving issues quickly when they arise.
You’ll become a trusted point of contact for export shipping, known for being organised, responsive and dependable. Shipments will be managed accurately and efficiently, documentation will be completed correctly, and potential problems will be identified and dealt with before they become bigger issues.
You’ll also contribute beyond the day‑to‑day operation. By monitoring shipping performance and costs looking for better ways of working, you’ll help improve our processes, service and efficiency. Your ideas and practical approach will help us continually improve how we manage export shipping and transport.
And this is only the beginning. As you develop your knowledge and experience, you’ll have opportunities to broaden your expertise across international freight, customs and compliance, freight costs and shipping processes. You’ll work closely with Sales Operations, Warehouse, Production, customers and external logistics partners, developing the commercial and operational understanding needed to make a real contribution to the business.
Your growth will be supported every step of the way.
