Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a Shipping and Logistics Manager (Export) to own end-to-end distribution of systems products from purchase to end-user delivery, focusing on the Middle East, Far East, and Africa. The role requires ensuring export compliance and optimizing freight costs, with hybrid working from Bristol & Midsomer Norton.

The role involves coordinating with procurement, PMO, and in-country managers, plus occasional overseas travel.

Qualifications

Proven track record in logistics and freight forwarding.
Experience with export controls and licensing.
Strong data-driven, process-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Own shipping requirements for all programmes and coordinate with delivery teams.
Forecast delivery needs early to consolidate shipments and use sea freight where possible.
Consolidate shipments and phase customs clearances to reduce costs.
Manage day-to-day freight forwarder and customs agent relationships and negotiations.
Own supplier relationships on EXW terms and coordinate direct-from-supplier shipments.
Facilitate licensing processes and ensure end-user undertakings are in place.
Oversee end-to-end distribution from purchase to in-country delivery and final handover.
Collaborate with in-country Logistics/Supply Chain Manager and warehouse teams.
