Job summary

People First Recruitment is seeking an Export Documents Assistant in Central London with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 at home). The role supports the accurate delivery of trade documentation and handles time-critical paperwork.

You will process ATA Carnet, Certificates of Origin and other documents, respond to customer inquiries, maintain records, and complete routine financial tasks. Training provided and progression awaits demonstrated competency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an administrative role.
• An understanding of export documents.
• Strong understanding of collaborative working with a team-oriented focus.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process, check, certify and issue ATA Carnets, Certificates of Origin and other trade documents.
• Check applications and supporting information for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with ATA Carnet administration and discharge work.
• Maintain accurate records for audit, compliance and data protection purposes.
• Complete agreed customs documentation only after training and competency assessment.
• Respond to customer inquiries by email, telephone and in person.
• Identify relevant company services and refer customer inquiries to the appropriate team.
