Saab UK is seeking an experienced Export Control Officer to join the Trade Compliance team in Fareham. The role is hybrid, four days in the office and one day from home, supporting export licensing, licence records and international shipments of controlled goods and technology.

You will work as the export control focal point within the Sensor Systems division, ensuring compliance with export controls, customs and trade regulations, and supporting ongoing international shipments and procurement

Qualificações

• Experience in export control, trade compliance, logistics, or international trade administration.
• Understanding of export licensing principles and controlled goods regulations.
• Knowledge of UK Strategic Export Controls.
• Experience with UK Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) licensing systems.
• Experience preparing and administering regulatory documentation.
• Understanding of customs procedures and temporary exports.
• Strong administrative and record management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, security, technology or engineering industries.
• Knowledge of sanctions and trade compliance requirements.
• Experience in preparing ATA Carnets.
• Experience delivering staff training presentations.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and submit export licence applications.
• Maintain export licence utilisation and compliance records.
• Coordinate and administer ATA Carnet applications.
• Support international shipments of controlled goods and technology.
• Support the Export Control Manager with governance across Saab UK.
• Assist with customs compliance audits and activities.
• Support engineering teams undertaking overseas customer support activities.
• Provide export control support and advice to projects and procurement teams.
• Produce licence compliance reports and audit records.
• Contribute to development and improvement of export compliance processes.
