Job summary

Concurrent is seeking a Trade Compliance Coordinator to support import/export, customs documentation and licensing within the defence sector. You will maintain records, coordinate shipments and ensure regulatory compliance across UK and international trade.

Hybrid working is available at Colchester or Reading offices or remote. The ideal candidate has defence-industry experience, excellent attention to detail, strong organisation and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Previous defence industry experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/business systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support import and export activities — assist with preparation, review and submission of documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain trade compliance records — keep import/export records accurate and stored per requirements.
• Coordinate shipment tracking — monitor shipments and resolve delays and documentation issues.
• Maintain trade compliance systems and data — update databases and ERP systems with accurate information.
• Liaise with external partners — work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers and others to support compliant international trade.
• Support export licensing activities — assist with administration and monitoring of export licences.
• Assist with compliance screening — support restricted party, sanctions and end-user screening.
• Support audits and compliance reviews — prepare documentation and assist with inspections and assessments.
• Identify and escalate compliance concerns — highlight discrepancies or risks to the Trade Compliance team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement — help develop procedures and best practices for compliance.
