Job summary

GCHQ is seeking an Exploitation Engineer to join the Communications Exploitation development team in Cheltenham. You will design, develop and deploy software, firmware and hardware solutions in an Agile environment to support UK government missions.

You will work with languages such as JavaScript, Java, C++, Python, Rust, Go and .NET, and may use Kubernetes, MATLAB, VHDL or FPGA platforms depending on the project. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• STEM subject studied or equivalent
• Experience with at least one modern programming language or framework
• Exposure to Kubernetes or similar container orchestration is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy technical solutions supporting mission requirements
• Work within an Agile team across software, firmware and hardware
• Research, prototype and experiment to meet operational needs
