Qualifications

  • JIB Approved Electrician status is required.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment required.
  • AM2 qualification required.
  • Assessor qualification (A1, D32/33, CAVA or equivalent) required.
  • IQA qualification or willingness to achieve within agreed timeframe.
  • Recent and relevant industrial experience in the electrical sector.
  • Passion for developing future talent and learner success.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Electrical Installation programmes and apprenticeships.
  • Assess learner competence in workshop and workplace environments.

We are seeking experienced and industry-qualified electrical professionals to join our growing team as Expert Practitioners. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering outstanding apprenticeship and full-time electrical provision, helping to develop the next generation of electricians while supporting employer partners across the region.

As an Expert Practitioner, you will combine your extensive industry knowledge with high-quality teaching, assessment and learner support to ensure exceptional outcomes for apprentices and students.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Electrical Installation Full Time Study Programmes and/or Apprenticeships.
  • Assess learner competence in both workshop and workplace environments.
  • Support Apprentices to successfully achieve End Point Assessment and qualification outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with employers and industry partners.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, industry engagement and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate learner progress records and meet awarding organisation requirements.
