Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Apprenticeships Programme Manager for Berkshire. The role is a permanent full-time post overseeing the electrical apprenticeship provision and leading a team to deliver high-quality training for learners and employers.

You will manage curriculum planning, IQA/EQA processes, SAR and QIP, provide leadership and line management, coach apprentices, and build strong relationships with employer partners to drive retention, achievement and EPA

Qualifications

• Degree or vocational qualification in Electrical Installation/Maintenance (5357 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition and AM2/AM2S.
• Assessor qualification (A1/TAQA/CAVA) and Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
• Proven experience ensuring quality training with awarding bodies, EQAs and IQAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and line management for the electrical apprenticeship team.
• Train and coach apprentices to meet required skills and monitor performance.
• Be the main contact for employers, apprentices and stakeholders.
• Lead curriculum planning, IQA/EQA processes, SARs and QIPs.
• Drive targets for learner retention, achievement and EPA preparation.

Electrical Apprenticeships Programme Manager

Permanent Full Time

Location: Berkshire

Salary: 45,196 to 48,286 per annum

Are you an experienced electrical assessor, team lead or course manager ready to drive high-quality training across an established apprenticeship provision?

About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of Apprenticeships, you'll manage and oversee the Electrical Apprenticeship provision, ensuring top-tier delivery to both apprentices and employer partners.

This is an appointment for someone who can hit the ground running. You'll bring solid experience of managing and coaching staff and overseeing apprenticeship quality, and you'll use it to lead a team that supports learners through to successful completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership and line management, including 1:1s, curriculum planning and standardisation, for the electrical apprenticeship team.
• Training and coaching a caseload of apprentices to meet key skills, knowledge and behaviours, while monitoring performance and providing early interventions for at-risk learners.
• Acting as the main point of contact for employers, apprentices and key stakeholders.
• Leading curriculum planning, IQA/EQA processes, self-assessment reviews (SAR) and quality improvement plans (QIP).
• Driving key performance targets across learner retention, achievement and EPA (AM2S) preparation.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• An appropriate degree or vocational qualification in Electrical Installation/Maintenance (5357 or equivalent)
• 18th Edition and AM2/AM2S
• A recognised Assessor qualification (e.g. A1, TAQA, CAVA)
• A Level 5 Teaching Qualification, or a willingness to work towards it
• Proven experience of ensuring quality training and working with awarding bodies, EQAs and IQAs
• Solid experience of managing and coaching staff and overseeing apprenticeship quality
