Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Experimental Noise and Vibration Engineer (EHM) in Derby, adopting a hybrid/onsite model and full-time employment. You will support Engine Health Monitoring through review and analysis of engine vibration data, both in production builds and on-wing events, while collaborating with software teams to validate analytical tools.

The role offers exposure to AI-driven analytics, substantiation reporting, and cost-avoidance initiatives, with opportunities to influence EHM

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience of analysing and interpreting engineering or technical data to support informed decision-making.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with complex technical information.
• Excellent communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, software and other technical teams.
• Experience using MATLAB and SQL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse on-wing and Pass-off vibration data to optimise workscope recommendations.
• Analyse whole engine vibration Pass-off data to support release into service or RTS re-work recommendations.
• Provide technical support to the Service Support front desk with on-wing vibration queries.
• Support on-wing failure investigations through analysis and interpretation of vibration data.
• Collaborate with engineering and software teams to support development, validation and implementation of tools used within EHM.
• Process, analyse and interpret engine vibration data to identify trends and anomalies.
• Communicate analysis and recommendations clearly to engineering and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through new analytical methods and capabilities.
• Support development of AI-driven capabilities to improve analysis workflows.
• Collaborate across wider team and develop capability beyond EHM.
