Job summary

Rolls-Royce Derby is seeking a Digital Design Engineer to accelerate product introduction and deliver digital solutions. You will join a cross‑functional, global team to apply AI/ML, Model‑Based Systems Engineering, physics-based modelling and statistics to engineering problems.

You will work with Engineering and Digital/IT architects, develop and deploy digital capabilities, and present results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in engineering, physics, or computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience programming in Python, C++, or C#.
• Strong analytical thinking and clear communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal customers to identify opportunities for applying digital technologies.
• Develop and deploy digital technologies into the broader architecture.
• Create and maintain codes and apps to enable deployment of digital capabilities.
• Present work to internal and external customers, including governance bodies.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in digital design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver value.
