Job summary

Vida Education is seeking Teaching Assistants to work in schools in Lancashire and Cumbria. The role involves supporting teachers, preparing classrooms, and engaging learners in both one-to-one and small group settings.

Applicants should have a Level 2 TA qualification or at least 1 year of TA experience in a school, be confident communicators and motivated, and hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one (costs apply). We offer excellent pay rates and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Supporting Teaching and Learning) or minimum of 1 year work experience as a TA in a school setting with references.
• Confident communication skills and ability to motivate in the classroom (one-to-one or small group).
• Current Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS (cost covered).

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher with delivery of lessons.
• Prepare the classroom for lessons, setting up equipment.
• Manage behaviour and engage students in learning.
• Work with students one-to-one or in small groups outside the classroom.
• Commit to supporting both the teacher and students to succeed.
