Job summary

Vida Education is actively seeking Teaching Assistants to work in schools in Lancashire and Cumbria. You will support teachers with lesson delivery, prepare classrooms, and manage behaviour to engage students in learning.

You may work one-to-one or in small groups to support individual learning. Applicants should have a Level 2 TA qualification or at least 1 year of experience with references, and a current Enhanced DBS with Update Service or be prepared to apply (costs apply).

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Supporting Teaching and Learning) or 1 year of work experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting, with references.
• Confident communication and ability to motivate students in 1-2-1 or small group settings.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service or willingness to apply (costs apply).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the teacher with delivery of lessons.
• Preparing the classroom for lessons (setting up equipment).
• Managing behaviour and engaging students in learning.
• Working with students one-to-one or in small groups out of the classroom.
• Committed to supporting both teacher and students to succeed.
