Tripod Partners is assisting a Devon-based team to recruit an experienced Supervising Social Worker for the North & Mid Fostering Team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality supervision, support and guidance to foster carers in line with the National Minimum Standards for Fostering and England Regulations.

You will undertake unannounced visits, contribute to annual reviews, support training, and promote best practice across the fostering service.

Qualifications

• Experienced social worker with knowledge of fostering standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular supervision, support and professional advice to foster carers.
• Undertake unannounced visits and monitor placements.
• Participate in annual reviews of foster carers.
• Contribute to quality assurance and fostering practice improvement.
• Support delivery of training to foster carers.
• Promote high standards of social work in fostering services.
• Record, plan and monitor work accurately.
• Apply fostering regulations and legal options for children.
