Job summary

Valoris Group is seeking a Solar PV Designer to join our Droitwich-based team. You will design domestic and commercial solar PV systems, producing precise drawings and layouts using PV*SOL and AutoCAD, and handling DNO submissions. The role supports the sales process from quotation to handover, ensuring compliance with UK standards.

The position is office-based with flexible hours (full-time or part-time considered) and offers development opportunities within a growing renewable energy business.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Solar PV Designer.
• Strong knowledge of PV*SOL and solar PV design principles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and design drawings.
• Experience preparing and submitting DNO applications.
• Good understanding of UK solar PV regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design domestic and commercial solar PV systems for projects.
• Produce technical drawings, plans and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and submit DNO applications.
• Review site surveys and customer requirements for compliant designs.
• Provide technical support to sales during quotation process.
• Ensure designs comply with UK regulations and standards.
• Liaise with DNOs, suppliers and internal teams.
• Maintain project documentation and design records.
• Support continuous improvement of design processes.
• Manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
