Stridden Limited is seeking highly experienced Shuttering Carpenters for a busy commercial project in Wolverhampton. You will work on shuttering and formwork tasks, read drawings, and maintain high safety standards on site.

The role requires a Blue CSCS Card, extensive shuttering/formwork experience, and own tools. This long-term, on-site opportunity offers consistent work and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Shuttering and formwork carpentry on a commercial project.
• Constructing and erecting formwork to drawings.
• Working accurately from drawings and specifications.
• Forming concrete structures including columns, walls, slabs and bases.
• Installing and striking shutters; measuring and assembling timber/formwork.
• Keeping formwork level, secure and ready for concrete pours.
• Collaborating with steel fixers and other site operatives.
• Maintaining high workmanship standards and safety procedures.

Shuttering Carpenters - Wolverhampton - £25-£26ph - Long-Term Work

Stridden Limited are recruiting for highly experienced Shuttering Carpenters for a busy commercial construction project in Wolverhampton.

Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Rate: £25.00-£26.00 per hour, depending on experience

Duration: Long-term work available for the right operatives

Start: ASAP / TBC

Job Type: Temporary / Long-Term Contract

CSCS: Blue Skilled CSCS Card minimum - essential

Job Description

We are looking for very experienced Shuttering Carpenters to join a commercial construction project in Wolverhampton.

Applicants must be experienced, competent shuttering carpenters who can hit the ground running and work independently to a high standard.

You MUST hold a Blue Skilled CSCS Card as a minimum. Green Labourer CSCS cards will NOT be accepted for this position.

This role is not suitable for general carpenters with limited shuttering/formwork experience.

Key Duties

Duties will include:

• Shuttering and formwork carpentry
• Constructing and erecting formwork
• Working accurately from drawings and specifications
• Forming concrete structures
• Columns, walls, slabs, bases and associated concrete works
• Installing and striking shutters
• Measuring, cutting and assembling timber/formwork
• Ensuring formwork is level, secure and ready for concrete pours
• Working alongside steel fixers and other site operatives
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Following all site Health & Safety procedures

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Blue Skilled CSCS Card as a minimum - ESSENTIAL
• Extensive previous experience as a Shuttering Carpenter
• Strong shuttering and formwork experience
• Previous experience working on commercial construction projects
• Ability to confidently work from drawings
• Own tools
• Full PPE
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
• Recent relevant references
• Reliability and a strong work ethic

We are looking for proper, experienced Shuttering Carpenters who require minimal supervision and can demonstrate substantial previous formwork experience.
