Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting a CSCS Shuttering Carpenter for a major expansion project at the Wellcome Genome Campus in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire. You will perform shuttering and formwork tasks across foundations, slabs, beams and walls, reading drawings and ensuring accuracy and safety on site.

This long-term role offers weekly pay and ongoing opportunities within a large-scale construction program in Hinxton. Competitive hourly rates apply, with CIS/UTR.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out shuttering and formwork activities as shown in drawings and specifications.
• Construct, install and dismantle formwork for concrete structures.
• Build timber and system formwork for foundations, slabs, beams, columns and walls.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Ensure formwork is positioned, level and secure; assist with concrete pours.

CSCS Shuttering Carpenter – Long-Term Work in Hinxton

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced CSCS Shuttering Carpenter to join the major expansion project at the Wellcome Genome Campus in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire.

The Wellcome Genome Campus expansion is a major long-term construction project delivering new laboratory spaces, homes, community amenities and sustainable infrastructure across the enlarged campus.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to secure long-term, ongoing work on a major construction and infrastructure project.

Your Role as a CSCS Shuttering Carpenter:

Carry out shuttering and formwork activities in accordance with drawings and specifications

Construct, install and dismantle formwork for concrete structures

Build timber and system formwork for foundations, slabs, beams, columns and walls

Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Measure, cut and assemble timber and other formwork materials

Ensure formwork is accurately positioned, level, plumb and securely supported

Work closely with steel fixers, groundworkers and other site trades

Assist with concrete pours and ensure formwork remains secure and safe

Follow site RAMS, procedures and health & safety requirements

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area

Report hazards, defects and unsafe conditions immediately

Work effectively as part of a busy construction team to keep the project on programme

What We're Looking For as a CSCS Shuttering Carpenter:

Previous experience as a Shuttering Carpenter – essential

Proven experience working on construction or infrastructure projects

Experience with traditional timber shuttering and/or system formwork

Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Strong understanding of formwork and concrete construction

Good awareness of site health and safety requirements

Reliable, hardworking and professional attitude

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

£24.50 per hour (CIS/UTR)
