Job summary

Marchant Recruitment in Maidstone is seeking a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner for a part-time, term-time-only position. The role is afternoons, Monday to Friday, 3:30pm–6:30pm, at a welcoming secondary school in Maidstone.

The ideal candidate has previous cleaning experience, a keen eye for detail, and can work with minimal supervision. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school, office or commercial setting.
• Strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and dusting to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Emptying bins and replenishing cleaning supplies when required.
• Ensuring the school environment remains clean, hygienic and welcoming.
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures, including COSHH guidelines.
• Reporting any maintenance, cleaning or health and safety concerns to the Site Team.
• Working effectively both independently and as part of the wider cleaning team.

Our client is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a friendly and welcoming secondary school in Maidstone.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cleaner looking for a part-time, term-time-only position, working Monday to Friday during the afternoon.
