Job summary

Interaction Engineering in Millerhill, Edinburgh, is seeking an experienced Roof Tiler for a contract role. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in roof tiling, including timber battens, GRP valleys, and lead work, and will work on a project with a focus on quality and safety.

The position offers an on-site, contract-based opportunity with immediate start for the right candidates. Valid CSCS card and reliable, punctual workmanship are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roof Tiler.
• Experience installing timber roof battens, GRP valleys and lead work.
• Experience working on residential, commercial or construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of working at height and site health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Installing roof tiles to a high standard, in line with specifications and drawings.
• Fixing timber roof battens accurately and securely.
• Carrying out lead work, including flashings and associated detailing.
• Ensuring all work is weather-tight and meets quality standards and deadlines.
• Working safely at height, using scaffolding and access equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Complying with all health and safety procedures, including RAMS.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
