Job summary

Interaction Engineering is seeking experienced Groundworkers for a contract role in Millerhill, Edinburgh. You will work on drainage and kerbing tasks, installing pipes, laying kerbs, and preparing ground to required levels on a civils site.

Role requires CSCS card and proven site experience; you will read drawings and work to RAMS, with a focus on safety, quality, and meeting deadlines. Immediate start available for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Groundworker on construction/civils sites.
• Experience in drainage and kerbing installation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and setting-out information.
• Good understanding of site health and safety.
• Own hand tools required.
• Valid CSCS card (Groundworker or relevant card).
• Reliable, punctual and committed to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Installing drainage systems, including pipework, manholes and chambers.
• Laying kerbs and edgings accurately and to the required levels.
• Excavating and preparing ground, trenches and sub-bases.
• Backfilling, compacting and reinstating as required.
• Working from drawings, specifications and instructions from supervisors.
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project deadlines.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Complying with RAMS and health & safety procedures.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
