Job summary

Interaction Engineering is seeking experienced Roof Tilers for a project in Millerhill, Edinburgh. The role requires proven tiling expertise, battens installation, GRP valleys, and lead work on varied sites.

You will read drawings, work at height safely, and deliver quality workmanship with punctuality. Immediate start available for the right candidates, full-time/contract basis in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roof Tiler.
• Experience installing timber roof battens, GRP valleys and lead work.
• Experience working on residential, commercial or construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of working at height and site health and safety.
• Own hand tools.
• Valid CSCS card (Roofing or relevant card).
• Reliable, punctual and committed to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Installing roof tiles to a high standard, in line with specifications and drawings.
• Fixing timber roof battens accurately and securely.
• Installing GRP valleys.
• Carrying out lead work, including flashings and associated detailing.
• Ensuring all work is weather-tight and meets quality standards and deadlines.
• Working safely at height, using scaffolding and access equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Complying with all health and safety procedures, including RAMS.

Interaction Engineering Roof Tiler

Location: Millerhill, Edinburgh
Employment Type: Full-time / Contract
Salary: £22 to £25 per hour

About the Role

We are currently looking for experienced Roof Tilers to join our client's team on a project in Millerhill, Edinburgh. The successful candidates will have a strong, proven background in roof tiling, including the installation of timber roof battens, GRP valleys and lead work alongside roof tiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing roof tiles to a high standard, in line with specifications and drawings
• Fixing timber roof battens accurately and securely
• Installing GRP valleys
• Carrying out lead work, including flashings and associated detailing
• Ensuring all work is weather-tight and meets quality standards and deadlines
• Working safely at height, using scaffolding and access equipment
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

• Working independently and as part of a team
