Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is currently recruiting an experienced MIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing and fabrication business in York. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder to secure long-term work with a reputable company offering competitive rates and ongoing progression opportunities.

You will MIG weld mild steel components, read engineering drawings, fabricate and assemble to required standards, and perform quality checks while adhering to health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working with mild steel and structural steel
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant welding qualifications are advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

• MIG welding mild steel components and assemblies
• Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Fabricating and assembling metal products to required standards
• Carrying out quality checks on completed welds
• Operating workshop machinery and hand tools safely
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures
