Job summary

Dees Cycles in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, is looking for an experienced bicycle mechanic to join a busy shop, taking in repairs, servicing cycles, liaising with customers before, during and after work.

You will build and check new bikes for sale, help maintain a safe environment for staff and customers, and assist with sales and stock handling as needed. A minimum of two years' mechanic experience and Cytec Level 2 or higher are preferred, with training offered to suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Ideally 2+ years' bicycle mechanic experience; Cytec Level 2+ preferred; training available.
• Good spoken and written English; basic IT skills are a plus.
• Willingness to identify and carry out shop tasks as part of the team.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanic who would enjoy working in a busy environment, working on all manner of cycles, together with general duties throughout the shop.

The Role Includes

• Booking in, service/repair bicycles, liaising with customers as required before, during and after servicing.
• Build and check new bikes ready for sale/display/test rides.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Help out as necessary throughout the shop, including sales, stock handling, etc.

Skills/Experience Required

• Ideally at least two years’ experience as a bicycle mechanic, with Cytec level 2 or higher - although not necessary as further training can be provided for the right candidate.
• A good command of spoken and written English are necessary, Basic IT skills would be an advantage.
• Willingness and initiative to identify work that needs doing in any part of the shop, and to carry this out as part of the team.
