Job summary

The Barns Hotel in Cannock is seeking a capable Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You will prepare and deliver high-quality dishes across the Hayloft Restaurant, Lounge Bar and Farmhouse Function Suite, contributing to exceptional dining experiences.

The role offers variety from restaurant dining to larger functions, with a supportive team and opportunities to advance within a privately owned hotel near Cannock Chase.

Qualifications

• At least two years in catering or professional kitchen environment.
• Relevant catering and food hygiene qualifications.
• Strong cooking skills and a passion for quality food.
• Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safe kitchen practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes to high standards.
• Support service across the Hayloft Restaurant, Lounge Bar and Function Suite.
• Cater for weddings, private celebrations and other events.
• Work efficiently during busy service to maintain quality.
• Maintain food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation and waste minimisation.
