Job summary

The Best Connection Group are seeking experienced Class 1 drivers to join DHL International at their Colnbrook site near Heathrow Airport. This is an airport-regulated role requiring security vetting and a valid UK Class 1 licence.

The role offers a pay range of £19.63–£29.45 per hour with overtime after 40 hours, AM/PM/flex shifts, weekly pay, pension, full training and ASAP starts. Perks at Work access and 28 days holiday pro rata are included.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with Class 1 (CE) entitlement.
• Five-year work history with checks; gaps over 28 days require a gap reference.
• Provide a 5-year address history.
• Valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card).
• No more than 6 penalty points; no DR, DD, IN offences.
• A current Aviation Security certificate (Level D) or willingness to complete (paid by us).

Responsibilities

• Trunking freight to and from UK airports.
• 1–3 drops per shift; daily vehicle checks and paperwork.
• No handball; focus on trunking to airports.

• No handball - just trunking to and from UK airports

Requirements:

As we work at an airport regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority, all applicants must:

• Valid UK Class 1 driving license
• Previous Class 1 driving experience - desired but not essential
• Have a 5-year work history that can be checked (gaps over 28 days need a gap reference)
• Provide a 5-year address history
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card)
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
• No DR, DD, IN offences

Licence/Certification:

• Full UK Driving Licence, [Category CE] (required)
• A current Aviation Security certificate (formerly Level D), or willingness to complete the course during vetting (paid for by us)
