Job summary

Interaction - Leeds is seeking an experienced CNC Turner/Programmer for a permanent role in Barnsley. You will program, set and operate Haas CNC lathes with live tooling, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances.

Applicants should be apprentice trained or time served with 3+ years of experience, and be capable of interpreting drawings and maintaining quality to CAD models. Overtime may be required, with a starting rate of £16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or time served with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Skilled programmer, setter and operator on CNC lathes with live tooling.
• Milling knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Maintain quality and conformance to drawings/3D CAD models.
• Willingness to produce high-quality components.
• Experience with tight tolerances and deadlines.
• Flexible attitude towards working hours; overtime may be required.
• Experience working to own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Haas CNC Y-axis lathe with live tooling.
• Carry out dimensional/visual checks with appropriate measuring equipment.
• Deburr and finish components to specification.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
