Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a CNC Turner/Programmer for their Barnsley site. The role requires a fully skilled engineer capable of programming, setting and operating Haas CNC lathes with live tooling.

You will work on batches that are small- to medium-sized, reading drawings and ensuring quality. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years' experience, is apprentice-trained or time-served, and can work independently with Fanuc controls.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled engineer with experience in programming, setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Proficient in Haas CNC Y-axis lathe operations and live tooling.
• Strong understanding of Fanuc controls and interpreting technical drawings.
• Experience working to tight tolerances and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating Haas CNC Y-axis lathe with live tooling.
• Maintain quality via dimensional and visual checks using appropriate equipment.
• Deburr and finish components to drawing/specifications.
• Keep workspace clean and safe, adhering to procedures.
• Possess flexibility for overtime as required.
