Job summary

Clark Wood Hereford-based practice is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients in Hereford.

You will process invoices, perform bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and assist with management accounts, using Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.

The ideal candidate has experience in an accountancy practice, strong VAT knowledge, and excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have bookkeeping experience, preferably in an accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and VAT requirements.
• Confident using accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
