Overview

£30,000-£40,000 per annum (depending on experience) | Location: Cheltenham | Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week | Contract: Permanent

Davidson Walsh is a well-established, highly experienced Structural and Civil Engineering consultancy based in Cheltenham. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an Experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our friendly and supportive team. Our projects span a wide range of sectors including Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Public/Institutional Buildings, Energy Installations, and Listed Buildings. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on varied and fulfilling projects, collaborate with expert colleagues, and further develop your professional skills. What You’ll Do
  • Produce accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, architects, planning consultants, and clients to coordinate designs.
  • Attend site meetings, carry out inspections, and dimensional surveys in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete and compliant with standards and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with software developments and contribute to improving systems and protocols.
  • Estimate time required for drawing preparation and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Promote the company’s positive reputation at networking events when required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong AutoCAD skills with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office) with good project administration skills.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, or Tekla Structural Designer.
  • Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Membership with ICE or IStructE.
