Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of anExperienced Adult Social Worker, on a 1-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £33.50 - £44.58 per Hour

Responsibilities:

• Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriatesupervision, guidance and support, reflecting the function of the team andAdult Social Care in accordance with policy, procedures, guidance andlegislation.
• Undertake work within legislative frameworks including the preparation ofwritten reports, statements and representations to the judiciary at Courthearings and applications to the Court of Protection.
• Accountable for complex decision making and risk management in relation tocaseloads ensuring professional judgement, evidence-based tools, criticalreflection and analysis to inform this.
• Communicate skilfully and confidently in complex or high-risk situations.
• Attend and represent the department at a range of multi-disciplinary forumsand undertaking the role of Chair as required.

Qualifications and Training:

• Dip SW, BA or MA Social Work or equivalent / or due to receive qualificationwithin next 5 months following application.
• Social Work England registered or due to receive registration within the next 5months following application.

Experience Required:

• Applied knowledge of Community Care Legislation and subsequent guidance,including Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983.
• Experience of completing assessments and support plans and generatingthese through information technology.

• This role requires an Enhanced DBS
