Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong experience in expense planning, forecasting and analysis.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify commercial implications behind financial results.
• Experience producing clear management information, variance analysis and forward-looking insight.
• Confident in questioning assumptions and discussing expenditure with budget owners and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to explain complex financial information clearly and turn analysis into practical recommendations.
• Experience supporting business cases, scenario analysis or investment appraisal.
• Experience using financial planning and forecasting tools; knowledge of Anaplan is a plus.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce annual expense budgets, forecasts and regular performance reporting across Apollo and its managed syndicates.
• Analyse actual expenditure against plan, explain variances and identify risks or opportunities.
• Collaborate with budget owners to understand plans, cost drivers and resource needs.
• Provide clear financial analysis and recommendations to support expenditure and investment decisions.
• Produce expense management information across departments and Years of Account.
• Maintain cost allocation models and process documentation.
• Support business cases, scenario analysis and investment appraisal for major spend.
• Track benefits of approved investments and improve planning, forecasting and reporting processes.
• Develop and maintain Anaplan models to enhance forecasting and reporting.
