Job summary

Solutions2 UK is seeking an Exhibition Stand Detailer to join our West Midlands team. This full-time, on-site role translates design concepts into detailed technical drawings and production-ready specifications for exhibition stands, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will prepare layouts and elevations, coordinate with designers and workshop teams, maintain project files, and uphold health and safety and quality standards throughout the build process.

Qualifications

• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills, ideally with experience in joinery or exhibition stand construction.
• Proficiency in CAD or similar drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent) and confident use of MS Office tools.
• Good understanding of materials, fixtures, and fabrication methods used in exhibition, retail, or interior fit-out environments.
• Ability to read and interpret design briefs, architectural plans, and technical specifications with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with designers, project managers, and workshop teams.
• Awareness of health and safety and basic structural considerations relevant to temporary structures and exhibition stands.
• Previous experience in exhibition, events, shopfitting, or related industries is highly beneficial.
• Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in design, drafting, or construction-related field is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate layouts, elevations, and construction details.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, and workshop teams.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
• Check drawings for accuracy and update revisions as projects progress.
• Support the build team with clear information to ensure stands are produced to a high standard and delivered on time.
• Adhere to health and safety and quality standards.
