Military Medical Personnel is seeking a Locum Rehabilitation Instructor to cover an MoD assignment at DMRC Stanford Hall, Loughborough. The role is 37.5 hours per week and pays £25.92 per hour.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality MSK rehabilitation to service personnel, work within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to governance and clinical standards.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in MSK group/class-based exercise therapy.
• Hold one of the specified professional qualifications with relevant membership.
• Current safeguarding certification Level 3 or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the UK and able to meet compliance checks.

Responsabilidades

• Manage MSK patients from Navy, Army and RAF and deliver rehabilitation to restore fitness.
• Design and implement safe, progressive exercise programmes per ERI standards.
• Record treatments and patient progress including group sessions.
• Deliver group-based therapy for up to 15 patients and MDT collaboration.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team ensuring governance and quality care.
• Communicate clearly with patients about conditions and treatment plans.

We are looking for a Locum RehabilitationInstructor to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at DMRC Stanford Hall,in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

This is a locum role (37.5 hours per week) and thesuccessful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoDservice personnel.

Pay rate:

£25.92 per hour

Main duties of the job

• Manage patients from theNavy, Army and RAF that present with musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries and deliverappropriate exercise rehabilitation to return serving personnel to full fitnessand maximise operational effectiveness.
• Perform appropriateclinical assessments and design and implement safe and progressive exercisetreatment programmes for patients in accordance with the ERI Standards ofProficiency to Practice.
• Keep a record of allspecific treatments given including individual patient programme exercises andgroup therapy sessions.
• Delivering group-basedexercise therapy sessions (up to a max of 15 patients) to restore normalfunction in co-ordination, balance, posture, walking/running re-education,lifting and carrying, mobilisation and strengthening, recreational therapy andpool-based rehab/fitness sessions.
• Work as an integral memberof a multi-disciplinary team provide a comprehensive and professional rehabservice.
• Develop good workingrelationships and work collaboratively with managers and members of themulti-disciplinary team.
• Adhere and contribute toall aspects of clinical governance and assurance.
• Communicate effectivelywith patients to ensure informed consent for treatment, good understanding oftheir condition and treatment plan.
• To communicate complexinformation clearly through presentations and in writing to patients and othermembers of the MDT.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following:
• Hold a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation and maintain a Full Graduate Membership with the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BaSRaT)
• Hold a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy and maintain Full Graduate Membership of the Society of Sports Therapy (SST).
• Be a qualified military ERI having successfully completed the Joint Services School of Exercise Rehabilitation Instructors (JSSERI) course.
• Hold a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HSPC).
• Where an ex-military ERI are employed and the completion of the RCP cannot be met, the individual must show evidence of clinical currency when being employed within their respective agency. Completion of the RCP must happen on employment.
• Must be in date and able to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.

Experience

• Must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience managing group/class-based exercise therapy for musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries, including evidence of treating MSK injuries gained within the last 2 years.
