Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Vice President/Executive Director to lead the Global Oil Trading desk in London. You will drive revenue through intelligent risk-taking, pricing, hedging and client engagement, while developing ideas from fundamental/technical analysis.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with strong emphasis on controls and market leadership, reporting to the Global Oil Trading leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of oil and refined product fundamentals.
• Disciplined risk-taking in commodities markets.
• Ability to assess and explain risk across positions.
• Client-focused under market pressure.
• Experience in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Strong controls mindset and risk/conduct standards.
• Programming capability in Python/SQL or similar.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance via risk taking around client and broker market flows.
• Price client transactions accurately and hedge to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with sales to engage clients and provide hedging strategies.
• Develop trading ideas based on fundamental and technical analysis.
• Assist risk managing trading books including non-linear risk.
• Size and risk manage positions to create profitable strategies.
• Perform daily desk tasks: mark curves, provide market color, hedge exposure.
