Placements24 is seeking a Senior Risk Manager for a strategic role in Randburg. The incumbent will identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks, building robust frameworks, policies, and procedures to protect assets and reputation.

The role demands extensive experience in risk management within financial services, with strong leadership and communication capabilities to guide a team and drive risk-aware culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in risk management within financial services or banking.
• In-depth knowledge of credit, market, operational, and liquidity risk; familiarity with regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the enterprise-wide risk management framework.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Design and oversee risk mitigation strategies and controls.
• Monitor and report KRIs to senior management and the board.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts and specialists.
• Promote a strong risk-aware culture across the organization.
